      • Jason has shown that he really understands how to get the best from exotic woods, it was there to see very early, and for me possibly better than any other cuemaker out there at present. His work is looking amazing and he has been able to establish his own style to make his cues unique. Well done on a fine 2012 Jason!

            • Really like that cue Jason........and a round butt as well . Doesn't get better than that .

Something about a round butt cue compared to a flat on a cue. Think it looks nicer in my opinion . But i am slightly biased
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Totally agree, I dont use the grain at all so prefer to pick the cue up and play where ever I hold it, rather than feel for a flat each time.

                • It probably the worst piece of Macassar out there for attractive grain, but that why I like it. So on my cue it went.
It was what was left from a nice plank I had.

I use the grain and spin the cue to the same point every shot. I just don't like the feel of the flat .

Really like the Macasser ....looks very unusual .

                          • I havn't been about the boards much for past few months.. but had a good catch up last night and looked back through this thread at what i missed..

WOW... fairplay some stunning looking work now jason bud..

Out of all the 'new makers' that are about the place now, your work easily looks the best by a long run fairplay.

                            Very nice work indeed....

                            • Cheers cally, been 2 years this Feb that I first brought a plane from a car boot sale.
80 odd cues later and still loving it. And I might add, still learning!
