  • Grains on an Ash Shaft Cue

Hi, How does one re-grain an ash shaft cue on his own, at home? I mean, apart from sending it to the cue makers?

do a search on grain filler as I believe there is a thread about how to do this and tips on what not to do, etc. If I remember the hardest part was getting a similer filler that was used originally, as most cuemakers seem to make up their own...
    all the best
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

yes dean is correct, when dave coutts did mine he said he had to order some dye from somewhere to re grain the cue.
i have also tried doing it myself to a cheap cue and it worked well, but doesnt compare to a pro completing it. so my advice would be to send to a cue maker.
