  • Snakewood Butt, Riley Maple Snooker cue - value ?

    IMAG0208.jpgIMAG0209.jpgIMAG0210.jpgIMAG0211.jpg

I am selling my Riley Snakewood cue,
I understand the ones with the snakewood butt are extremely rare and the splicings are in excellent condition
it has (i think) maple shaft 57 3/4 long, 8.5mm tip and weights approx 16.5 oz
it is in very good overall condition and has been used by myself for the last four years, playing snooker and pool.
i have removed the plastic plaque and replaced it with a brass one (still have original plaque), this looks better against the contrast colour of the butt
selling as i have purchased a new cue made to my own spec

    £250 ono

    regards

The cue would have limited value to a collector because the taper , ferrule and thus tip size have been reduced to 8.5mm. As a playing cue however , although " playability " is subjective , it might attract offers. Why not keep it as a spare , you must be used to this cue after four years of playing ? Best option is PM some of the collectors/dealers on this forum , rather than discuss prices on an open thread , just a suggestion.
