Not sure on the name change. Only Mike and Trevor could confirm for sure.
At a guess when they started out they used a company name. As their reputation grew they put their name on their products.

"The Cue Man" was a generic business name that ran alongside my own name when i first started, and i used it for a few years until my customers expressed a preference for me to just use my name.

once HandMadeCues.com started, "The Cue Man" brand kind of slowly faded away.

leaving the way clear for others to copy it...
