Like all cue makers I'm sure RO goes through periods of working on shafts for about 2-3 weeks, then back to splicing adding joints, finishing etc. A cue really only takes a couple of weeks to complete and most do them in batches, hence why when Trevor finishes a cue for someone there are usually two or three other members getting theirs at the same time. Mike turns around his cue orders pretty quickly, did you see all those black spin ferrules the other week, all finished cues at the same time, think it was about a dozen or so.
Never really thought about it that way, id be interested in seeing if he makes any black plates how those take to shift, probably a quarter the time the green plates did. Black plates will probably be in the region of £800+ at the very least.

The price of Green aiming to Parris ultimate
So a plain ebony ultimate will cost you 530+SD joint which is around 20=550
I see the basic green plate is around that price.
But the VAT is too much. I am not from England so i don't know how many percent that is? may be 20 percent?
That is a lot.

If Robert could make a thousand cues tomorrow they would sell in no time!
He simply can't meet the demand but at least you know he is making the cue unlike parris!
His quality of craftsmanship is second to none and has poured his heart and soul into it all!
So in my view he deserves every bit of credit for making a success of himself and his business!
Same as parris, mike and trev also!

Well said Raymond .
I took a cue to him to have a minor bit of work done and i could tell by the look on his face thst he really did not want to do it , as he felt the cue was perfect .
Then i realised how passionate he is about cue making and a very top craftsman .Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Yes he sure is! He could probably have trained up more cue makers
to turnover loads more cues but he's simply content with what he's doing and worked for!
And his quality control is in his own hands!
His workshops a cue makers dream and has done it all off his own back!
The amount of customers over the world wanting his cues proves how class his cues are!
All cue makers on the forum work and run there business in there own way to suit them!
Simple!
