Different cues tips are preferred by different players.

The most common cue tip for pool is blue diamond, that doesnt mean that elkmaster or the more expensive tips will not work.

That would be 8 ball, blackball rules. Excuse the newbie questions but why different tips for different games of pool, and what would they be?

Im assuming because for example.... 9 ball uses bigger heavier balls than 8 ball etc. Plus power not needed so much in 8 ball

for english pool i find mw super tips are beta they brake beta as well and give a bit more on a pool tabel

Why not contact ADR who has posted earlier to see if he can supply you a sample pack of different tips for you to try

That's the only way to see which one you like and which one suits your cue
