Yeh he had 5 ultimates when I got 2 off him, 1 was a ronnie replica, 1 was a brand new 1 with red veneers and a matching mini butt with ultimate badge, the 3/4 plain ebony he has on eBay now and 2 tulipwood ultimates that I bought. To be honest I am not that surprised at the response on here and it proves I was right not to advertise it on here as all you get is accusations of it being fake when I know it's not and all you have to do is ask john parris and he will confirm authenticity anyway. Also the abuse you get about the price you are charging when all I want is my £1150 back for the cue, 2 extensions, case and a towel as that's what I paid for it. The reason I'm selling it is that its not my spec and I have 2 other ultimates that are bang on my specs and are older. Regards, Rob

Very interesting, so JP used different font and arrangement for a very short period, as you say it would be good to know the range of JPU numbers involved. :snooker:
But probably even JP himself would not know

I just wanna say thanks for the few people with messages of support during this thread, if any of the eBay police on here want to come to my house to carry out a thorough search/inspection you a more than welcome. hi rob s, hopefully my post didn't offend you, I think no one originally knew that this cue was sold by a TSF member, and we were just trying to get the facts right in case any current or future members were interested to buy it, it would've been easy if we had a record of when JP used a different font, as I said I did feel that I recall JP using a different badge for a short period of time and did suggest that the buyer contact John Parris directly to confirm, but either way, good luck with your sale!

Thanks mate, I'm honestly not offended I just find it funny hearing the usual eBay police (not you BTW) on TSF basically guessing whether a cue is genuine just from looking at the badge from a photo taken with a camera phone pmsl. Maybe they should speak to John parris before making accusations. Also Dean H should know me anyway as we have spoken on the phone when 1 of his friends was going to come to morthampton to buy a JP champion cue from me. Anyway I'm not fussed as I know it's real and I don't need to sell it, just my Mrs would be happier if I did as I've got over 3 grands worth of JPUs. Regards, Rob

Hi Rob, after seeing your post earlier in the thread I did make the connection with "afganrob" on ebay, and yes I remember the chat we had about the Champion and my friend. (So I do take back the side-joke that you were Fedia x3+ ebay account )
As Ik8 mentioned, I started this thread as I had never seen that font used on any JP badges before and was after feedback, which it turns out that JP did indeed use a different font for a very short time, and your comment that you had the cue confirmed by JP, confirms this (yes?). So I have learnt something new (as maybe others as well ) and the knowledge of the forum has increased to help with other doubts in the future and you have more info for any potential buyers
                  all the best buddy

Thanks dean mate your post couldn't be better written, even be myself lol. You are right this thread has become a useful piece of info for new and old members as well as potential buyers (instead of another fedia thread). Now hopefully spurs win, the gooners don't and I will have had a great Sunday. Regards, Rob

just a question ? i understand that jpu they went really high with price and of course somebody can just rebadge an any decent cue and post it for sale on ebay for example trying to make a dime & buck. Now Rob explain to me one thing here on "the forum" how come that u don't have the paperwork for the cues because that's weird when u order a cue from JP his gonna send trough email the order number wich for example in 2005 I've got the ultimate 107 made with my own specifications and then in 2008 the 502 for what a have a tons of email from JP so your 905 it was made ( I've seen that u've change it on ebay from 5 to ...I don't remember how many years ago) long time ago , wich I've doubt it and then u ask for 1350 come on if u stay on the cue maker to play with the wood grains the most expensive what I was able to get it was something around 980 for an ultimate but I repeat it can be a good business for some smart guys at least change your nickname on ebay cause first think what came in my mind was "afghan rob-ber" Good luck with the sale.

Are you stupid or didn't you read the thread properly? I own 3 ultimates, 1 I got from ADR which is number 294 which is over 10 years old and he doesn't have a receipt for as it was David grays cue and not everyone keeps their receipt for a decade. I also got 2 JPU from fedia which are also genuine but no receipt. I know they are real so why would I care what you think? I have already explained the price and that I would take £1150 as that's what I paid when I bought it from fedia. I have not changed anything on the listing about how old it is EVER, you are comparing my description in the listing to the description when fedia sold it and it has obviously changed as his English wasn't great. Also if you have JPU 107 how is it only 7 years old, do me a favour!!!! As for the afghanrob ebay username my dad is afghan, my mum is English so why would I change my username cos a narrow minded possibly racist yank keyboard warrior says so?? Go fight so more illegal wars and kill loads of innocent civilians it seems to be the only thing the yanks are good at, well that and eating junk food. Regards, Rob

                          Hi Calin
Could you post pictures of your two Ultimates (107 and 502), for interest sake
Once you have 10 posts or more you can use the Attachment feature on TSF or you can use photobucket or some such and link them here as well. thanks
                          Cheers

Cheap shot there Rob. Surely you can deliver a put-down to an individual, without stooping to sweeping generalisations . .

Yeh I could have done but it was early, I was tired and the guy is talking complete crap. He ordered JPU number 107 in 2005 that is ridiculous. Sorry if it offended you but he shouldn't have said the afghan robber comment

Agreed on the comment he made . . . just count to ten, and remember the old einstein quote :-

“Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius-and a lot of courage-to move in the opposite direction.”
