  • New MAC CUE maybe for J. HIGGINS

Here are some pics of a cue that I've just made that is hopefully going to be tried out next week by John Higgins.
He is trying a couple of Trevors cues also. I know John very well and know what type of cue he likes(grain, stiffness of shaft), this one has the arrows facing towards the butt of cue as John likes and is a nice solid bit of ash with black ebony butt. It is currently a bit long for John but if he likes it i will alter to suit him.

I have just finished splicing 20 cues, 4 maple 1 Piece and 5 3/4 cues and 11 ash 1 piece.
All are roughly same spec just now(58" and 30mm butt no weight added and 9.5mm tip. I will be uploading pics very soon.
I will be adding some facing splices to some, and once I put them up I will be happy to alter any of them to suit customers spec.
    Stay tuned lol.

Probably getting into old habits, in the late 90's he was cutting pieces off his cue, glueing it back on changing tip sizes etc. Funny how the workman always blames the tools isnt it

his current cue has had more operations than gazza. The butt on it is not level any more so he fancies trying something new. he had made the decision a while ago.

So he's still a bit mad when it comes to chopping and changing it seems

I am currently weighting it and sizing to his spec but he is gonna try it when he returns from Austria. He likes the ash but he is also trying a TW and an Osborne, so I'm up against some stuff competition lol. At end of day he will use whatever he feels best with, doesn't make any of them bad cues.

Barry Pinches said on twitter (after losing to him 4-nil in austria) that he was using a new cue...

Yes that was probably the TW he is waiting on the ozzy and mine will be ready for him when he returns. Even to have someone of his stature trying one of my cues makes me happy.
