Indeed, still an unusual practice though.

My friend always preferred the Parris because it was maple and never played the Will Hunt much. I finally talked him into selling it to me in April, 2011.

I never had a 1 pc. before but after playing with this cue my 3/4 TW has been resting in it's case ever since. Terry Davidson was more than impressed thi. There are more pics in my TSF Album if you're interested.
I remember his booth...used to miss few frames just because I spent my time there. Bought of him at the Welsh open 2004 CC case and JP cue. I still own his beautiful patch work case.

I play both pool and snooker with my Glover Custom.
1 piece ash, ebony butt with thuya burr splices and maple veneers.
9.5mm tip. Currently using a Kamui black (medium).
The quality and workmanship sums up how the cue plays.395.jpg

after stop playing snooker for 15 years,i start playing again.im currenly playing with my one and only old john parris classic, bought it about 17 years ago,the cue had only 3 arrow at the bottom, and 3 on the top with 1 arrow not that clear due to the grain not that strait.i read the post somewhere said less arrow is better but not for me ,other than good long strait pot, this cue is very hard to play top spin.maybe i need more pratice.57",9.5mm tip,30mm butt,16"joint,16"balance point and 18oz.

I've read on here in the past that he made somewhere around 375.

The story goes like this. A few years ago, in London, England, there was a reunion for all the Will Hunt Black Plate owners. Hundreds were gathered at the hall for a dinner and drinks. All the cues were locked in a back room for safe keeping during the dinner.

Wouldn't you know it - a terrible fire broke out. No lives were lost but All of the cues were up in flames.

I probably have the last remaining cue. Lucky I was unable to attend the reunion, being across the pond and all.

ADR147 can likely verify if this is true.
