I wanted to place an order for an ultimate last year, knowing that the lead time is well over 30 weeks..i sent an query asking for an estimate lead time after reading the FAQ..the reply i got back was simply 'read the FAQ".....even after clarifying and stating again clearly that i wanted an "real current wating time" based on their workload i got the same bloody reply...."refer to FAQ"
I think you have to understand that because of the reputation they hold it makes them very very busy, it does give the answer in the Faq..and says that the cue wont be rushed , it will be finished when the right shaft becomes avalible, who on earth could give you a precise time for this ?..I have recently got a new parragon from john it took 5 months , yeah I wanted it much sooner but when it finally arirved it was perfect and worth the wait, as far as customer service goes I asked if jp a cue towel could be sent with my cue, they did have my card details but when I got the cue with towel and my credit card slip it had not been charged ,so I rang them up again to pay and guess what.... they said dont worry its on the house...fab gesture..so had to wait but got a great cue and great customer service from them to me...many thanks J.P.

I'm sure you've seen the same thread on here many times before:

"How come the badge isn't the same as the other Ultimates?"

"I've seen a few fakes on eBay with a badge like that."

Then 17 pages of posts trashing your cue and fake Parris cues etc. etc. etc.
I know a lot of what you say makes sense but, as long as John has fitted the badge and can verify the cue is genuine then it shouldn't be a problem.

        Cheers,
How long did you have to wait in total with the four weeks? I'm with you when you place an order for an ultimate you know the lead time is going to be around a year give or take a month. I understand ppl frustration's but they have to under stand that john can't employ someone 24-7 to answer customer queries that the whole purpose of the FAQ.
Hope you get the cue of your dreams sharkster. stick a picture on this thread as well.

Hi Gerry, what do you think of the idea of having an old style name plate with the 4 screws fitted with john's original name plate under underneath so, if someone wanted to see it they could always unscrew the top name plate???

I think you should get a standard JP Ultimate badge.

10th June - only a few weeks ago and they said that only 4-6 weeks to go, not bad
To continue other posts, I would also have a standard badge with the sequential number but to mention one thing I have noticed from the Parris receipts I have seen, they do not to have the cue number on them
Looking forward to seeing the photos of the cue you get and I also hope it is the "cue" you have been looking for!

2012 would be nice! bet that't long gone. I a but confused where this 4-6 weeks has come from have I missed something. I have no Idea when my cue will be ready one thing I do know it won't be 6 weeks. I think this is the delivery time of another poster on this thread.

I think with parris its not that the cue takes so long to make or to wait for the right shafts, its more down to the waiting list, hence why they can never give you an answer when you ask for specific delivery time. Sharkster ordered his cue I think over a year ago and yet its only just gone into production. 4-6 weeks is pretty much a standard time for most cue makers to start and finish a cue, its not that they are turning the shaft over a period of a year, I certainly don't believe all that.
I'd reckon you'll be looking at this time next year before you get yours cazmac.

Completely unrelated I know but parris has just tweeted that 7 of the 8 quarter finalists in the PTC are using Parris cues. Say what you like about him, that is some achievement that will probably never be beaten by any other cue maker again. He must be very proud.
