I have gone back to a one piece, after years of using a 3/4 cue. I much prefer the feel of the one piece, however what does not get mentioned a lot is the difference in sound. The one piece does sound a bit more 'tinny' than the 3/4, due I guess to the absorbing/dampening nature that the joint brings. It took me a while to get used to the new sound, I was checking the tip/ferrule for ages before the penny dropped.
