lol. terry, i have never seen you swear on the forum before.

i have been working through my emails as i've been posting on the forum. just got to yours...

news to me mate, i had no idea i was all 'sold out'. i really am such a bad businessman...

i'll look into that tomorrow morning. daren't do any shop stuff now for fear of wiping stuff out on account of the jim beam red stag i am currently enjoying.

mind you, maybe i will have a quick look now...

      erm... that was easy.

      sold out terry?

the same cues i have had in shop since i re-opened are still available?

fair enough, not a large choice, but black legend and black shark are still there.

if you're wanting special designs, vcm must remain off for a little longer as i am already backed up with legend/shark orders.

I thought I had looked at all of them except the Shark and every one had a 'sold out' red button on the bottom.

So here's how it went today...I sold another cue and my snooker account is getting as fat as a pregnant mouse, so I figure I'll treat myself to a real quality cue. Thinking, Trevor White...nah, I've got a good one, Robin Cook...nah, I tried 2 of his, JP Ultimate...nah, over-priced for the quality, Tony Glover...nah, I've got one here, Coutts...nah, had two bad experiences with him...so what to do...I KNOW, I'll get a top of the line Mike Wooldridge.

Took a rocket to handmadecues but dammit, virtual cue builder is turned off, damn! OK, so maybe he's got some good ones in the JUNE SPECIALS...check that out and every one I looked at is SOLD OUT.

Now I'm frustrated and when I get frustrated I swear like a trooper (23 years in the Navy helps), ask my wife.

So Mike...how about this? I'm planning on visiting the Star Snooker Academy in late April/early May 2013 which is a good 11 months away. Do you think virtual cue builder will be turned on in time for me to order one of your top-of-the-line cues so I can get it delivered to Sheffield during that 3 week period?

        Huh? Huh?

I thought MW was an obvious omission from the long list of cues you've bought/sold here over the years...

Just to reveal some information, my friend is using the blackspin now.

He has done retipping just to find out more about it. The interesting info is you won't see any wood at the tip of your cue.

That is why the blackspin is unlike a normal ferrule

The black legend cues are available in his shop. You can buy one without any emails. Just put you credit card information in.
And it's cheaper than before as you can customize you cue.

If you have problems to pay for the cue up front you should go read Mike's FAQ. LOL

Also there are people selling 2nd hand Mike cues on ebay and here. I brought 3 from ebay.

I believe Terry said he is looking on VCM for his order since he got "fat snooker account" after sold some of his cues.
Wish I got fat account too lol....

WoW ... wish i got the "fat snooker account" too. LOL
Terry told me he had the chance to order cues from VCM but he is not comfortable to pay up front. And he ask Mike to sell him sinbin cues. Mike said ok. So the sin bin cues can come at any time. May be tomorrow may be for quite while. And you got be fast when they pop up.
but as i know. sin bin cues are available whenever Mike have some. so you got to wait for sinbin cues.
SO as i understand you can purchase sinbin cues when they are in the shop. I don't see any reasons Mike will make cue then put it
in the sinbin and sell it at discounted price.

it is not just a black ferrule - i.e. a ring of metal at the end of a piece of wood
and it is not a cap - but the reverse - actual details are obviously not publicly available.
see the other thread whether MW announced the BlackSpin - something like "oops I've done it again"

not quite as simple as that.

it's what you don't see inside that makes it very different to normal ferrules.

the fact you are unable to see wood is actually a very minor detail.

Well that confirms my speculation that no wood would be visible when retipping, but I wasn't game to ask. How could it be if there was something inside the shaft? But I wonder if the design isn't something very similar to the F1 join minus the wood surrounding the wall.

Of course it can't be that simple, but I can only describe what I see. Unless someone's rich enough to get a cue from Mike and tear out that damn black thing at the end that is making everyone so curious! Lol...

I am patiently waiting for the Ash Black Shark to no longer be sold out or appear in the sin bin!

I appreciate that true greatness can't be rushed though. :-)
