Slightly confused now lol, i was told Robin uses same joint as Osborne for UK market, so my extensions will fit both ????
I think your implying they are (or maybe only for overseas market) different ???

surely that top one is a waste of time?

I love that joint through the splice style, if I was to have a 3/4 cue made, definitely be the way I would go - lovely cue.

Played with the cue tonight and what a little cracker it has turned out to be
Must admit i was a little wary as the shaft has a lot more spring in it than that of my other cues, but cue played great, so good in fact, that i didn't once reach for my trusty GBL cue, played whole 9 frames with it, which is a 1st, as i usually revert to GBL after a couple of frames with any new cue.
I might just elevate it to cue number 1 status
Thanks Raymond for a very nice cue indeed, just can't beat a classic plain ebony.

                        Thanks for the feed back!
Some nice photos too! Hope it plays well and you enjoy it!
Like to think I'm giving value for money as I think gbl cues are superb
                        Value also!
                        Good luck with it!
                        Cheers Raymo!

Its almost like an optical illusion in that pcture, you'd think the splice tips are wider than the part before the joint, which theyre obviously not. Not sure how pictures make it appear that way.

its because you eye naturally follows the line/gentle curve of the splive and being such a wide joint if you followed the top slice line it would be wider than the actual splice below the joint, i imagine a way around this could be to sand off a bit of the wood the same width as the joint to keep the splices aligned.
