Hi all,

Is anyone else having problems getting a hold of Airin?
I have tried contacting him by email/facebook and via his site and still no joy or news of my cue thats on order

I don't know for sure but I've heard that he's been very sick for the past little while. I haven't tried contacting him so can't say for sure. Try their email address - auroracues(at)aol(dot)com and maybe his partner Richard will answer and let you know

First of all. there is no Airin. I am from Vancouver and deal with Aurora cues so many times. from the beginning only Richard shows up. I asked him about 'Airin" he said " Airin " is only doing some email works. i have brought 4 cues from him and brought many cues for my friend. Richard is not a honest person he is lieing all the time. everyone from the local and Johnny knows that. My friend order a cue with me at same time even 1 month earlier than me. But my cue done in 4 monthes and my friend waited 2 years. And he don't want it anymore, Richard won't refund the deposit. he agreed to transfer the deposit to an case. The he said it deposit for cue and can't transfer to case order. Ok Then i place an cue order. He asked me to pay him the rest 350 for the cue.. He said most his customer from HongKong pay him full amount before. That doesn't happen when he first start. Anyway, i paid him 350 (the cue is 550 and my friend's deposie is 200) Then i start wait. but after 6 months he is not even start on my cue. I asked him he said that i told him i want evenly spaced arrows on shaft so he have to find a perfect spaced shaft for me. There isn't perfectly even spaced arrows as wood are nature. So i know that he can use this excuse to make me wait forever. I don't want to be f**ked so i asked him to refund me my money. he only will refund me 350. he said the 200 belongs my friend and that not refundable. he refund me money because i know where can find him and i know his number. for people not from here might be hard.

he only make cues that he likes the design the customers orders he will make whenever he is happy. :

He always say he had so many cues from England but i have never seen one.
Every time i got cues from Robert Stamfor Mike Trevor, he will ask me to show to him.
I have two brand new Green plate Hunt & Osberne. One of them needed oil, i never used it didn't even shape the tip. Only tried less than 10 shots. because it 57.5 little long for me. So i gave this cue to him to oil. However, he won't return the cue to me after 2 months. I left the cue and 2 others cues to him before i went to a trip to China. 6 weeks later when i am back. I ask him to gave me back my cues. He gave me 1 back and said the other 2 are not ready yet. I knew there is something wrong. When he returned my H&O cues. I found that he over oiled it. His oil get into the thin maple veneer and made the white veneers turned yellow and he said the cue like that when i gave him. from this point i never want to deal with him again.

he makes some ok cues. But most of his cues are not well made. The front splice is so easy to crack. I have seen so many Aurora cues cracks under badge. And he will make around 3 cues once for each design and sell the best one to the people he felt important and sells the rest bad ones through email to other customers.

I felt sick to deal with him.

If and one need help to get their money back i have his number might help a little bit. But i don't know if he still use the same number as he is a very very sneaky people.

he also hates Deroo cues. he always laugh at Deroo cues.
I don't know why. After i brought cues from kevin Deroo he become so strange when dealing with me.
And he always send me emails ask me how do i think about his products. But after i told him i don't think his aluminu case are worse 60 pounds he got so mind at me. His case is import from China and he put wax stamp on it. He ask the i told him that i think cue craft case are better and for people in Uk cue craft are better choice.

Also Richard always say that he is exdreamly busy and don't take orders any more, but every time people want to order cues from him he will immediate reply and sound nicely. He is always send a email like a long essay. if you are really that busy how do you have time for so much long emails????
He also send me emails making fun of other customers and cue makers. I won't name the cue makers but i have an email he sent me about Andrei ( Fedia) . I know that some people don't like him here. But i brought a Mike Wooldridge cue from him. he is a very nice seller and honest person. He never force anyone to buy from him and he sold some cues at reasonable price. He also know a lot about cues. Even his listing looks over priced and sound that cues he have like a magic. But that just the way how he do his business. Don't buy from him if you think his cue is over priced. I am sure if some one wants buy cues form him he can work something out. Even not he will be honest at least which is good enough for me.

In the past, I had one dealing with him. He likes to bargain non stop when he buys and tries to make himself sound like a very big spender at the same time. Both Airin and I do not really like him.
We unfriended him on facebook and now he sends a freind request to us again.LOL.
Not sure what to do. Do not really want to deal with him.

A couple of things, I'm not sure you should be quoting other peoples private emails, especially Fedia's address. Secondly, I had an issue with my Aurora - only superficial, but Airin reimbursed me the money I paid Andy Travis to refinish the cue, so my experience is he is certainly honest.

Well its true he seemed to have some disagreements to say the least with kevin deroo, besides that not much else on this forum in terms of negativity for aurora cues from what ive seen.

Ok, before I start, I am no apologist or cheerleader for Aurora, but I would suggest we wait to hear Airin/Richards side of the story before doubt is cast over their trustworthiness - especially if there are health issues compounding things here.

Yes Airin does seem a bit eccentric and yes there was a thread (Which I believe was removed) where he did have a pop at Kevin Deroo.

The posts which talk about the delays and poor service may be correct, but lets get both sides first. Anyone who lurks on here for any length of time, must have noticed Airins absence.
