  • Two Exquisite cues near completion!

Here I have two cracking cues near completion!
I've kept them a while as I thought I may keep one for myself!
But gonna finish them up this week!
    Cue on right 57"3/4"
    Cue on left 57"
Both around 9.8mm but can be taken down to any size!
Both cues haven't been weighted yet!
Let me know if anyone is interested!
    Here's the pics:

How much for the cue on the right, and what splices does she have Raymo? Are you sure they're 9.8mm and can you do a 20oz with a specified balance point? What will be the butt diameter if she's left the way she is, and does she have a flat belly? Cheers.

What butt width will this rascal have? And does she have a flat or grained belly? Sorry, my internet connection is playing up.

Damn, 29mm, same as I've got. Looking for something like 31mm, like my old Powerglide Purist. Everything else about the cue is perfect. Think I'll have to have one custom built. Do you do custom spec jobs Raymondo? There's no rush. I can get by with my Phoenix for a while I suppose!

Interesting. Is it a bent handle Purist in ash? It's a bit light for me now, I'm playing with that 19 1/4 oz Phoenix and really like my mates 21oz Sherwood. Just had a wee look at your Purist; nice. Do you think I'd be able to get more weight added (let's say 2oz) and would someone have to cut through the varnish/splices or could they drill through the bottom of the butt? I would imagine that your Purist already has a 1 oz weight inside? I'm not exactly flush at the moment, I've just paid a huge bill. I think I have ten quid in my pocket. No joke. I guess I could use my CC. How much, dear, dear friend? lol

What do you mean by "bent handle" ??? never ever heard that term before lol, my cue is straight
As far as i am aware weight is always added by drilling into the end of the butt, never from the side (altho i do believe that was done in the olden days) Cue is mint, so £100 delivered would be a bargain !!

If you go to pictures of your cues in the forum on cues, you should see my old purist on the last page. It has a sloping handle, which was meant to help the player get through the ball easier. It's pretty unusual, take a look.

Drilling into your cue and adding weight would make it butt heavy and the balance point would drop right down. Not sure I could do that to that cue. Let me think about it please.

Thankyou for the offer JVC but it's going to cost a bit to alter that cue by adding some weight and I'm not sure it would come out playing well afterwards. I swore that I would not collect cues, so any purchase really has to have a practical reason. If I spend £100 on this and nearly as much altering it, I may as well start from scratch and have someone like Unclevit or Raymo make me one to spec. However, pics of you gorgeous Purist and its specs have made me think that a new cue may be the only way, one with a 31mm butt. So basically the same specs as my Phoenix but a fatter butt, and a 10mm tip, and maybe 20oz as well. Cheers mate. Hope you enjoyed your buffday wkend. ;-)
