Making a Butt Wider

Apart from splicing more wood on to a butt, is there any other way of making the butt end (handle area) wider? Acrylic varnish, other material, etc? Something that does not require cue surgery I mean. I have a cue with a 29mm butt and wish it to taper from the start of the chamfer to the end of the butt reaching a new width of 31mm. The area before the chamfer would be unaffected.

If not, does anyone have an idea how much the surgery would cost and who could do it?

Any cue maker could do it, but i bet Andy Travis would be cheapest, message him for a quote, he is very reasonable and very very fast
