  • My New Cue

    Hi All,

been lurking here a while, great forum, learned a lot.

Just won this on Ebay £33.05, looks nice, LP cue, hopefully better than my current pro cue from JD sports, where the grain does not even match on the joint, lost out on 3 Cuecraft cues, and to be honest i cannot justify hundres on a cue at the moment, i am not good enough, so lets wait and see what it's like when it arrives, heard good and bad about LP cues.

You certainly got a nice cue for the money. Did the case and extras come with it, if so, you have had a steal? Must have been worth a lot more! Good luck to you.

Yep everything you see in the pictures was included in the price, the chevrons on the shaft attracted me, like i said not the best player, i am 46 years old, been playing seriously now for about 6 months, and the piece of junk i bought from JD just is not cutting it, been practicing my technique, shot address, position, grip, all that stuf, i am getting better but it is slow, hoping the new cue gives me a boost, should be here in the next few days, so i will post back once i have actually used it.

Cheers for the replies, gives me some confidence in my purchase

OK so been playing with this cue for a few weeks now, and have a coaching session booked or tomorrow (see other thread) i really like it, it is an LP cue, the ONLY issue is the weight, it just feels a bit light, will see how the session goes tomorrow and then decide if i need a heavier cue.

IIWY I would add weight to it first before changing

Tape some weight to the butt and see how much difference it makes and it will give you an idea how much more you prefer.

It's a C-3 they are good quality for the little money they cost, OK for the club or occasional player.Their real cues start at the Professional, Duke or the top of the range King Cue which is around 1000 pounds, finish balance and quality to knock your socks off.
I have just received mine it's a one piece Duke with snakewood butt, my Parris Ultimate is now for sale for anyone interested.
The LP Duke cue is what I had hoped the Parris Ultimate would be.
Tried to add pictures but it doesn't seem to work!

It's easier to upload photos with something like photobucket, be interested to see the quality...
