I bought one yesterday GBL C6 (maple shaft) of Stu. he is on it's way.
I have heard many good reviews about GBL ash !!
I thought maybe you play with maple and you can tell me some more about its playability !! (Although each cue is different) ...
Anyway,,, gonna try a few frams with this. I'm curious how this one plays !!
Thanks for the rplay !!

Hi Darren
I have had five different GBL cue and I can say without fear of contradiction that they are sum of the best cues to come out of thyland the splicing is first class and puts sum of dar I say UK makers to shame. I think the highest acalade I could give is that if they had a J Paris Trevor white mike woodridge exe you would be happy to pay twice and more and be over the moon. And as for playability that's in you not in the cue , one mans meat as they say, but I find them to be as good as any other make inc the ones I mentioned and more, I know because I have had at least one of most of them over the years.

I have bought two GBL's off Stu in the past year one being a 3/4 C2 with Ebony Butt and the other a one peice C4 with Snake wood. Both awesome cues. I also own a JP Exclusive 3/4 I would have to say my One peice GBL has the best feel. Just feels so solid. I have never met Stu as I live across the pond but he always looks right after me. Merry Christmas Stu & Happy New Year.
C4 One Peice
C2 3/4

I love GBL cues and IMHO if you want a very decent playing cue which is up there with the best and a guy who treat you with respect as a customer then it's a no brainier really, or another great option IMO is buying one of Wooldridge's legend cues which are the same quality as his VCM cues and will arrive in within weeks.

When you say ferrule option do you mean like the black spin that mike has or do you mean the GBL ferrules are no good ? Coz I can say that around this neck of the woods ( west Cumbria ) that all thou GBL cues are not as common as per say. Master cue's but compared to jp's tw' and as for MW cues are like rocking horse poo, I have not heard of problems with them and I usesuly I get a call when they do.
