Hi everyone, new to the forum.
I have done some searches and found bits of information but I could really do with some specific advice.
I've just returned to playing snooker after a good few years away. I am nothing special, my high break is 32. Since starting up again, it's a modest 23. Finding my way back into the game really.
I own a cue, it's a Cue Craft Carlton. It cost about £35 so my dad tells me, he bought it me when I was about 14 (I have done a search and there seems to be some cues of that name over £100 but that cannot be the same as mine). It is slightly damaged and needed to have the metal joint superglued back onto the butt section. It is not particularly great to play with if I am honest because of that. I have therefore thought about buying a new cue.
I do not want to spend a lot, I am playing for enjoyment with a friend and cannot justify it. Really would like to spend £50-£70 but could stretch slightly more, would prefer not to though.
I am 6'3 tall and wonder whether I should be going for a slightly longer cue because of that?
I know that ideally you need to try a cue out etc but I just want some ideas to consider and some advice on what I should be looking at for my needs.
Any advice whatsoever is appreciated.
