[QUOTE=paddybhoy30;660534]Are you sure it's two. I thought his first cue was a riley burwat.[/QUOTE

I seem to remember Higgins using one of those newer type burwats from the early 90's; made by Aeon prior to using Parris

Higgins has won countless tournaments over the past 5-6 years since he used his old cue and now he's changing again. It doesn't make sense to me.
I think Ronnie's standard of play in the 2012 WC proves you don't need to stick to one cue your whole career to perform at your best.

Because when he done it he got a piece chopped off the end of the butt and a couple of days later had it glued back on. So it either made no difference or made things slightly worse, in his mind at least.

Theres also the fact that soon after he went to John Parris to have a cue made, so its obvious that chopping and adding bits didn't work.

Ronnie could beat em with a broom handle tbh. Ronnie's play is far removed from a mere cue.
Harder than you think is a beautiful thing.

I think a broom handle is a tad extreme, even for ROS. But I hear you tho.

I wouldn't agree... the number of cues changes Ronnie had, and the number of cues John Parris have to make for Ronnie so he can choose one he likes, and the number of tips changes he made in a certain comp, certainly proves that he can't just play with "anything" whether it's physically, or just in the mind...

Made some nice cues from broom handles thirty years ago when I was starting out.The old quality broom shafts were made of ash.

Think a few are still being made using broom handles today Andy........not the same class as ash though

Yes this cue has the reverse grain on top as that's what john asks for, am pretty sure its not bubinga that the splicing has been done with, its not one I've seen too often on cues.

Lower splices are cocobolo, but a very unusual and highly figured piece.

The question on everyone's lips though is Trev, did he pay you for it or did you give it to him for free?
