Hi all, I'm a new member who joined today and I did put a post in newbie's but thought id also place my specific Cue question within the Cue section of the forum.
I inherited my fathers cue about 17 years ago and he had it for many years prior to this. I believe it to be hand made as it has irregular splicing on it and is curved at the peaks rather than sharp. It is a one piece Cue and measures roughly 57 inches from bottom to top of Ferrule. it weighs in at 16oz it has a rough measurement of 25mm Circumference giving it a Diameter of about 8mm this is rough as I'm using a ruler and pencil to get the circumference
The diameter of the butt is 30mm giving it a circumference of about 94.2 mm.
Now for the identifier.
It has a separate section of wood at the butt which is lighter in colour and has a cannon facing right with a scroll type banner underneath and this reads "Ye OLDE ASH Cue"
I would be more than happy to supply photographs of the cue and the wood if this is needed.
Hopefully someone can help me out here as this cue means a lot to me and knowing its history would make it that little bit more special.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully someone will reply to me with some further advice.
