help to identify this wood

Hi

Can anyone help me to verify the name of the wood on this splice?

Somebody told me it was Olivewood?? And does John Parris use different grades of splice wood for Special, Paragon and Ultimate cues?

Looks like it might be olivewood.

It certainly looks like olive but it doesn't look like an extremely flattering piece.
