Do you have a website? If not, are you planning on setting one up?

Yes I'm gonna set one up but further down the line!
I have other things in mind at the moment but have a friend
who's good at all that stuff!
Need to concentrate on cues for now to get more income in
as you need deep pockets to set up!!
          Think I'm near 6-7k now!

Oh didn't know you were getting into it!
Can only say that if you think just getting the lathe is it then think
again! You soon find that you need more and more!
Getting cues running true will be your biggest challenge and the adaptions I got done
for that cost me £650 alone!
I also want a bigger bandsaw that's next on the list!
But I'm not trying to put you off follow the dream!
It's just not as easy as you may think!
I've been near 2 years at this!

i'm just dabbling to start with, nothing like the cue makers on here..
I will make a few to see how i get on. They will probably be Frankenstein cues! Got enough wood for about 5 now.

TBH I just want to make decent one that i can play with and say i made it.
But i have already had ppl saying can you do change this and that on my cue.

yeah I need a band saw. I'm looking round for one. I have a selection of turning blanks that need to be cut down to splices for cues. Although local timber merchant does a good cutting service

You also need to think about "free hands"
Any jig you can make to hold the cue still whilst planing
For splices, drilling the badge hole,or glueing up splices and clamping!
Having a good set up so your hands are free is a big help!
I'm sure most makers will agree!

my dad was a carpenter and all he talked about was jigs! I know how much woodworkers rate them
Yes that is my first port of call. I have been actually saving all pictures of cue jigs you cue makers have. so I have been spying on you lot!!!
