  • Buff Buff Buff

    Hi all,
    Here's a quick one.

Any thoughts on using a buffing wheel to help buff up the sheen / smoothness on cues?

    See, super quick
    Thanks!!
    Long days and pleasant nights.

My cues have a wax finish (B&W) so I use a high speed buffing wheel to add wax and a clean wheel to buff. I do this about once a month and the cues are as smooth as when new.
If your finish is lacquer then this is not a good idea as the heat generated might soften the finsih.
If you have an oil finish a slow buff is fine but again the heat of a high speed wheel will soften the finish.

        Thanks to both of you.
I thought heat would be a huge factor.
It's hard for me to buff by hand (har har), but I'll see if I can get a wheel and do it slowly over time.
        Thanks!!
