      Think the coco I've used is about as dark as I've seen.
      I'm quite keen on thin maple veneer and the burr.
      Will post pics once done. Can always strip it off and redo it.

        Rippled Maple wide veneer and Elm or European Walnut Burr ( if you can source some ).

                    Gotta agree, thick veneer would have looked much better, not fussed on thin veneers myself.
