    Picked my cue up today!

I must say it feels very strange getting used to a new cue.

Pretty pleased with the result though. Looks quite smart. I'm sure there are cue makers out there that might get a better finish than mine has, but it's smart enough for me!

A friend of mine recently had a B&W cue, the St.George model which he had custom made and I couldn't fault it. It was a beautiful shaft, nice and dense, lovely grain and just overall a very well built cue. I think its a shame that some people will rubbish a cue maker based on a bad experience or two and then of course once it gets said on here or other sites it can really damage that makers reputation.

Fact of the matter is all cue makers turn out a bad cue from time to time, however most are largely happy with the cues they get and the quality, especially at the mid to higher end of the market, is usually good enough for most players.
      Hope it plays well tedisbill.
