Some confusion in this thread i think, BW Billiards at Cradley Heath ( Dean & Yvonne ) are good to deal with and they make a decent cue, only thing i've noticed is the tapers can be a bit chunky, but that said sure you could specify slimmer if you wanted, so easily sorted.

The other B & W ( Burroughes & Watts cues near Sutton Coldfield ) who have no connection with BW Billiards, the cues from here can be very poor quality and the service not always great.

But as long as people are talking from their own personal experiences good or bad from any company/maker thats all that matters really.

A lot of players in my league use B & W Billiards cues, have to say they are all superb cues. I went up to the warehouse when i was purchasing my new cue about this time last year, saw a lot of their cues and spent a good hour or so chatting to the guys there. Have to say they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, i ended up leaving my old cue with them to be shortened by an inch and re-tapered and finished, the job they did was superb. The only thing that stopped me getting a new cue off them was the price, they are not cheap but are still very good value for money. However they are not quite as unbelievably brilliant value for money as the Andy Travis cue i ended up buying, bargain of a lifetime!

Perhaps given your subsequent comments regarding the ambiguity of your op, it is you who should read things twice before posting.

My only dealing with B&W was positive, bought one of their triple cases, very well made if somewhat heavy.

Yes that's right. I have taken on board this advice and will be more careful in future.

              Thank you.

not a terrible decision if you're happy with it, from what I've read on this forum so far, its just experienced folk looking out for one another, that's all. Trying to possibly guide you, since I've started playing the game again i decided to get a posh cue made up, BUT GOING By WHAT OTHER FOLK HAVE SAID.... I've bought perhaps a 'lesser known' cue from a maker on this forum, and i do not regret my choice.... I would trust most of these folk ive never met before than trust 'the expert at the snooker hall'.... I'm just saying.......

                    It's new cue time!

Anyone actually like the design of my cue?

                    Or not like it?

I don't care either way. I'm just asking because it's a forum and I want some random people to say they like it, and some to say they don't.

                    Cheers

I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

                            Hi,

Don't know what you mean by accepted? I just said that's how I wanted it to look and they said OK.

I went on the John Parris cue website and used the cue builder thing on there to design it (not my idea. Someone else had done it before).

Well, my cue should be done this week.

I went in to see it this weekend and it's looking perfect! The grain looks lovely!

So hopefully should be finished and I can collect this week!
