I have a mastercue having the same problem too. Hairline crack surfaced after 1 or 2 months play. Been there for 2 years already. Seems like common problem?

actually mine isnt really a crack, its just the splices are lifting a little. maybe it's the climate

Seeing a pattern here but I had a Lewis & Wilson (same guys, pre Mastercraft) that developed a small hairline split at the same point. My cue took a moderate knock and the shaft split along its length
