  • Custom Made Cue - Comments Please

I am giving a lot of thought to saving some money and
buying a custom made cue in the 150-200 BPS price
    range.

My requirements are unusual but its what I want.

    length 57" 3/4 with 16" butt
    weight 20-21 oz
    tip 11.5mm
    butt fitted for screw-in extension
    butt plain black

Adding on shipping will increase the final cost.

I am considering a Peradon cue.

Any comments / feedback would be greatly appreciated
as there may well be other cue makers I need to consider.

    Thanks
    Robert

Tip size is rather big and weight rather heavy!
Do you normally use these specs?

I have always used a 'pool' cue which was 21 oz and it had a 13mm
tip and I have just bought an inexpensive snooker cue which is 18 oz
and 10mm which isnt to my liking at all. I prefer a heavier cue and I
could try a 10.5mm or 11 but I find the smaller 10mm or less a tad
getting used to and awfully small.

There is better to choose from that peradon.

How long you are willing to wait will be something you need to consider.

At only £150 to £200 to spend he won't be getting one from a top maker so that doesn't really come into it

I am willing to go for a 10.5 to 11mm tip and I am not in
a big rush as I want to find a cue that really suits me and
I want to check out my options of cue makers.

                  I appreciate the comments.

I wouldn't go for a peradon personally, should maybe consider going to somewhere like green baize and trying out a few cues while your there...

Sorry my bad, yeah your going to have to take a risk then, i'm sure you'd get a decent cue of jim or travis on here to your specs going by their blogs/feedback...
