I have received several quotes and seen some very quality
snooker cue photos so I am pleased with my search so far.

The only Canadian cue maker I can find is Kevin De Roo and
his cues are way out of my price range.

With regards DeRoo cues and their costs, that is why I didn't mention him as you had mentioned a budget :-)
Since far not been able to find anymore details about Lenth cues
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Just a brief update as I have decided on purchasing an Andy Travis cue
and I need to decide whether I want the shipping to be fully insured or
not. Even tho breakage / loss would be rare I would be devastated to
        lose a lot of money.

I do want to thank the cue makers who sent me their proposals and all
of those who offered their suggestions and comments.

I will upon receipt of my new cue come back after using it a bit and give
        proper feedback here.

Well I just received my new Andy Travis cue and it looks and
feels terrific. Its a beauty and I cant wait to give it a try.

This is my first and possibly last hand made cue and I am very
impressed with the quality. I will post photos sometime this week
and let everyone know how it plays.
                Thanks Andy.

Travis Cue 003.jpgTravis Cue 010.jpgTravis Cue 011.jpgTravis Cue 012.jpgTravis Cue 013.jpgWell I am just back from playing a few frames of snooker and I must
admit the cue feels and plays extremely well. I did use some silicone
spray to allow it to play smoother and I found the new Elk tip performed
well. Andy even included a spare tip which was thoughtful.

Overall I am very pleased with the cue and dealing with Andy went
                  very smoothly indeed.

Now its practise practise and practice and I am sure this cue will help
                  improve my game.
