Can't help but notice there's a chevron/line that's very close to the ferrule. Quite unusual.

Are you sure? I've got a few cues that run like that. I guess it's all about what you're used to.

              It's 57" 1/4", 9.75mm,17.5-18oz,near 30mm butt diameter!
Quite a change for John over the years!
He used to play with an even shorter cue around 56" or under and a
              Very thin butt! Around 27mm.
Also likes a long shallow flat on his cues and the butt to have quite a sharp feel at the end!
              Not very rounded!

I believe he has the chevrons pointing the opposite direction than usual. TW mentions this on that other thread so it could be to with that.
                      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Yup, his previous cue was made in that fashion as well? It has 2 dark oval grain on the shaft that look like eyes, if you know what I meant. Anyway he is playing superb with the new cue, performance at Shanghai was top notch.

The way he is playing this morning he'll be looking to change it again soon, then again, it could be he's afraid of the Bulgarian mafia....
