  • Peter Ebdon's New Cue - MW Legend?

Am just watching the Premier League match on Sky Sports. Ebdon is using a new cue, looks like a lovely piece of ash.

The great WT is waxing lyrical about the wondeful soft noise his tip makes when he screws back. Just caught sight of the ferrule and it's black...

...so Mike, have you sold him a legend?

Another thought - is this the first time one of Trevor's cues is up against one of Mike's in a televised pro tournament!?

No Peter has confirmed its a Stamford cue with a zenith ferrule technology fitted.
Says its offering more spin and power and less throw than his old cue and can play many more shots with it. So not only is it the same colour as Mike's blackspin but also does pretty much the same thing.

He's just being interviewed - apparently the cue is a Stamford which has "Zenith" ferrule technology!

lol. how sweet, blatantly copying a new idea i brought to market.

but they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so hey ho.

however, does it say 'new' technology on stamford website?

we all know that's not true. and it's handily archived/recorded throughout the internet, so there's a bonus.

but, and most important in all of this, my ORIGINAL DESIGN technology, blackspin, is a LOT more than a simple black ferrule.

if anyone wants a black ferrule, i'll happily stick them on ebay.

in fact, i may make a point of doing so. and call them zenith.

there will be a patent but it takes years.

in the meantime, i think the blatant 'copying' is rather distasteful.

maybe stamford is owned by chinese?

The only thing I can say I that I doubt it will ever stop you selling cues Mike or harm your business in anyway!
                      Quality will always sell!
But I suppose that's not the point.

Yeah, not really the point. Bit of a shady move if you ask me.

                            Thank you. Self pro-claimed Cuefather

In all honesty I tried one of ur legend last week and I have mixed feelings. It's a 3/4 54 inch cue.

The difference was very distinct but I cannot conclude if it is a good or bad thing.

It had a very metallic feel to it. It felt it more from the joint rather then the ferrule.

Does not make a big difference But hit was definitely more crisp if hit properly.

Guess it was more down to timing.
