I've had three Mike Wooldridge cues. A pro-3, a shark & a custom cocobolo and swear by all of them. None of them took excessively long to get. I think he has Legends & Sharks in stock and is a matter of weeks not months depending on modifactions.

If TW waiting list is 40 weeks, JP ultimate wiating list is 50+ weeks

The difference is though that the time Trevor quotes is likely to be to the month, JP is likely to be 6+ months on top of what is quoted going by some customers on here.

the trouble with parris is he should stop takein orders like wooldridge does when he loads of orders on

My advice would be dont touch parris. I have an ultimate and its the worst made cue ive owned. Shaft is twisted and the splices uneven. When i had some alterations done i mentioned it to parris and he told me that even though its an ultimate (the best shaft you can get from him) its impossible to guarantee it'll end up straight once its made. For any other cue maker this would be a sin bin cue and sold off cheap. Lost all respect for him after that.

If u in the UK the best advice is to go down to Green Baized or craftsman. Try the cues they have on offer before you make your choice. Worst thing is to spend a fortune on a cue, and find that u dont gget on with it. No cuemaker can guarantee that you will get on with a cue made to your specs. All they can do is make a cue to spec but how a cue plays is ano individual thing and if u are able to try a cue before you buy that would be great.

I agree but the difference is Mike is a one man band just like Robin Cook so when they close their book its because they have enough work for themself, if people look elsewhere its only their own reputation they are damaging. JP is a business and has a workforce to pay each month. If he closes his book and then customers go elsewhere they may not come back and he could end up losing a lot of business because of it. Then he may have to lay off workers and then the quality may go down etc. Its better to be in business and send out that message and keep the orders flowing rather than get a reputation that you can't meet demand, that looks worse IMO than having to wait 12 months+.
