Can anyone provide a price point for their "ultimate" model?

from a price list I had last year I think the Ultimate starts at 7500 THB, maple shaft cost 500 extra. Obviously that is just a plain cue, depending on exotic woods and splices the cost will increase but I think they are pretty good value for money.

any more reliable reviews on maximus cues? I saw on youtube, a thai professional used one in a match against judd trump. cant remember what competition, but if they are on par with gbl or phoenix then for the price they seem outstanding considering the exotic woods they use. also can have an ultimate range cue in a month. cant say the same for other uk makers. thus seriously tempted to purchase one.

Not sure but I believe ADR has had one or at least had one in his hands whether or not he ordered it or someone let him see one. Might be worth asking though he'll probably say what others have said, nice cues, shame they lacquer the butt. I think you can probably ask for whatever finish you want though.

Was looking through the posts on maximus facebook yesterday and noticed that Stu Green of Greenbaize has been in touch with them, maybe he is planning on being an agent or maybe using them to make his GBL cues in the future. I doubt he'd be looking to buy just a cue so might be worth contacting him also to see, he may have already had one and is planning on buying more. Just thought it might be worth an enquiry.

Well, decided to take the plunge and go for one in the ultimate range. Will let those interested in how it goes. And post some pictures up in a month or so hopefully

Around £280 delivered for 4 splices olivewood, olivewood mini butt and long extension. Delivery will vary depending on distance but I should imagine totaled will be less than 300. I did like the rosewood burl but olivewood is a personal favorite.

Glad you've ordered Jono, been thinking of one myself but I wanted to see a review from someone else first. The thing that I was more concerned with is the cue not being a great player. Sure their shafts look fantastic but when so many cue makers are saying there is a scarcity of good looking ash around I wondered if they are just selecting them based on appearance and not playability.
don't tell me you've ordered maple now!

Ash mate. Gonna give it a go and it's only a month wait. If Thailand cue makers are good enough for certain uk brand names then they are more than likely good enough for me. Maybe the scarcity of good ash is because the thai makers have snapped them all up. That's what I hope. Fingers crossed..

This is my Maximus Ultimate plain ebony ~~~~~
                              57" - 9.5mm - 29mm butt - 18oz

The ash shaft is more stiff compare to my previous Mastercraft & Dunns.
