John Parris Waiting Times

Hi guys, notice on the Parris website it lists 3/4 cues from the parris collection as being ready in 8-12 weeks.

Is this reasonably accurate as I have read of waiting times of over a year for some cues to be ready.

Should be reasonably accurate yeah.

The waiting times that are over a year, is when people have ordered a custom made cue with an ultimate shaft. These take much longer as it takes much longer to get a perfect piece of wood.

I think it should only be taken as a guide but it seems to be the minimum waiting time is what they refer to. Very few people are getting their cues within that time frame, someone only last week claimed they had been waiting 7 months for a traditional cue!

Mental waiting time for a stock cue that, i remember having to wait just 8 weeks for a special in 1998 and that seemed like an eternity.

I guess the Chinese boom is what is causing the lengthy wait even for the stock cues. It won't last forever so I'm sure most the UK based cue makers are making the most of the orders right now.
