not keen on the first - the second is what is known as a transition cue and they tend to be the best players of the lot. second edition cue have the badge in a sort of double lettering if that makes any sense?

I wouldn't mind one of the Tony Ions replicas either as they had a nice little story behind them too.
Can you tell me a little bit more about what a Tony Ions replica is? How many of them do you think are out there?

More likely to find one at a proper auction house though, I wouldn't want to take a risk of posting a cue like this.
Wow I didn't know these cues are so high valued... would you know in what years the first edition cues were made? And what make one of their cues a 2nd edition?

I saw a guy I know at a local club in Vienna and he had one of them cues. I'm so stupid for not asking him about it and whether its a 1st or a 2nd edition. But the a cue is a real real beauty and just from seeing him play with it you can tell it plays like a dream!!! It's a 1pc without the extension joint and it looks in better condition than a brand new cue... I sure wish I could have one myself but you saying auction house makes it much more complicated to be honest

quite a few but easy to spot because of the weight stamp.

just rarity. but mind you there are plenty of other cues that will top a grand when they come up for sale.

seen a few they are more like £500-£600 there are early hidden joint cues, multi spliced melbourne inman cues, ivory badged walter lindrum cues, the red writing peall cue, the maybe mythical red mascots and various early mannock cues that fetch good money, i know a chap with 4 mint red ye olde ash cues but unfortunately he is wealthy enough that he does not need or wish to sell them!

they were made for 25 yrs or so ,so there will be quite a few around prob in collections, old locked cue cases were owners have passed away, locked private and working mens clubs

umm in theory, in reality they were pretty expensive new so were looked after and not forgotten, same reason there are not really parris cues turning up in working mens clubs.
