I am sure Robertson's JPU is ash and that his previous was ash as well.
Ebdon's previous Riley Duffin was a maple but as mentioned now using a Stamford ash.
I have heard good things about Reg Wright in Hull, quotes that I have had had/seen are on the high side compared to the market.
I thought that might be the case after he took the prices off the website. I'm always a little dubious about dealing with people who don't list their prices, its like they make it up based on what you are after or if they know you or the standard of player you are or how much money you have. Near enough every cue maker around lists their price, makes you wonder why some don't.

If your interested in a cue give Reg a bell...He's a real nice bloke and very helpfull...I wouldn't think for 1 minute he would be out to rip anyone off.

Is robertson using an ultimate now instead of the classic? I seen him use a different cue in the premier league but thought he was still using the classic in other events.

Neil Robertson got a new cue back in around September (2012) and that is was a Ultimate. Yes he had a Classic before that I believe was lengthened by Peter Hanley, maybe why no badge?

Fu had used the DeRoo for many years (approx 1996) and I thought he was still until this posting.

German Masters - I notice that Marco Fu is using his butterfly-spliced DeRoo cue again. Maybe that is where the improvement in form has come from - "a change is as good as a rest" so he had a change with the Wright cues and has gone back to his old cue with revitalised confidence and familiarity

Well spotted, be interesting to see whether he sticks with it again...

well with the way he is playing (nearly the 147 ) I think he just might

the way I see it, probably after playing with the Wright cues for a bit, he picked up his old one and voila it must have felt like "home"

Robertson is still using his classic though for most tournaments, he had a different cue in some matches in the premier league but the one he's using now is the classic.

yep, subsequent to that post in December others had mentioned he seems to have returned to the previous cue - maybe the same scenario as Marco

But i will ask him when i see him next , just to confirm .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

cheers for that Neil, pass on our congrates for getting to the GM final, he played very well through out the event.
And shame on the 147 that got away...

Seen Fu on TV is playing with a 3/4 Maple. Bit surprised thought all the top players play with a 1 piece. Can't make out what brand the cue is though. Any help would be much appreciated!

                                Marco Fu's new cues

It is his old Kevin DeRoo cue, maple shaft with bufferfly spliced ebony butt. He did try some other cues (as per this thread) but he went back to his trusted friend.
Quite a few Pro's have 3/4 cues, by a small margin most do have 1pc.
