Cue Craft Silk Line Finish

Cue Craft use what they call a Silk Line finish just what is a Silk Line Finish (Oil Varnish ???)

Other people might have more experience but when I contacted the fellow behind John Parrot cuesports he said that they have an oil finish. I was enquiring about the custom cuecraft models they offer, so I'm not 100% sure as to whether this applies to all of their cues. But in my opinion it's a sin to put varnish on anything approaching 150 - 200 quid.
