  • The Mystery Tube Case!!!!

Tomorrow morning I am going on a little 120 mile road trip to collect an old cue and the seller has another old cue for me too. Nothing unusual but here is the exciting bit......

......the case is padlocked, he doesn't have the key anymore and isn't really up to sawing through it himself but has said that he will let me have for just £10 and I can just sort out cutting the lock myself. Who wouldn't love a deal like this??

So just for 'poops n giggles' what do you reckon is inside?

The winner takes away the warm fuzzy feeling of being able to say "I told you so!"

It's like christmas again! I did 6 tins a couple of years ago and got lucky with two nice cues, one of which was a mannock!!
.... also the mint ye olde ash I have was only 'discovered' when the owner finally decided to break the lock to his fathers old cue which was in a tin case and he hadn't opened it having not wanted to damage it... for the previous 40 years!

            Good luck.

P.s I'm going for a two peice bce cue

I have been guilty of letting my mind running away with me but then I bring myself back down to earth with a bump with thoughts of rack cues.

These days you don't get a lot of excitement for a tenner so as far as I am concerned I'm already up!

1 piece handspliced no badge exotic shaft possibly pear
Single wood butt I'm picturing rosewood but the visions could be pointing to ebony :P
Will hit the ball real well may have a slight bend in it but you'll get that fixed and the cue modernised and it'll be the best cue you ever touched.

Wait a minute am I dreaming again....

A Burroughes & Watts Norfolk Cue in good condition with original tube case, nothing special but buying from the original owner who enjoyed it for many years but stopped playing 30 years ago and has stored it ever since. I'm a sucker for a story John!!

Perhaps I should tell the missus where I am off to tomorrow then instead of doing a disappearing act
