Identify if it's fake John Parris

After zooming in on the badges, the left most cue badge really isn't up to par compared to others.

The flat tapered seems longer than average parris.

The cue is very heavy, at least 18 to 19 Oz.

The joint in the middle isn't flush, you can feel the wood edge if you run your fingers down.

The ebony splicing at the points as shown in the picture does seems quite off to me.

I think the cue was once a John Parris Classic but has had a new butt section made to change specs or through some damage. I think the joint and badge was reused and the badged possibly re-inked too. It isn't unusual for the splicing to be slightly off on a Parris cue but the shape of the butt, the dimensions of the flat, and the way the badge has been fitted are all inconsistent with a Parris cue.

In short this isn't a fake as such but is what has often been referred to as 'Trigger's Broom' (google it!) a cue that once was one-thing but has been modified as such that it is claimed to be the same cue but isn't quite!

Nobody has been duped or trying to mislead I'm sure, but this is not a 100% Parris cue for me.

Made a few comments above in red, maybe it is genuine then, but just to seemingly now normal shocking quality of Parris cues, if they were priced around £150 to £200 you could maybe forgive a few problems, but they are not !!!!
