i live close to london i had the same problem with trying a cue down south (pool spec cue )
i went up to greenbaize stu is a real good guy i must of tried 15+ cues of varing prices / makers played for about 1 1/2 hour as already said you ll soon know what feels good
i ended up buying a one of his gbl cues it was a little more than i planned on spending but felt very good for me
i felt no pressure from stu to buy a cue he came across as a real genuine bloke
from my point of view was well worth the trip
