Yes......Ebdon was using one at the Premier League .

I own 2 Stamford cues as well as a few from other cue makers i think there as good as any out there.

If I remember from the thread specifically about this, Stamford themselves came on TSF and clarified that theirs is a fibre ferrule (but probably not the same precise material) but does not have the inner-core-thingie that MW has. So I would say not the same.
