    Dear all,

Wish to check anyone knows when/which year did Omin produce green plate/tag cue? Was trying to find out more detail but can't

    TIA.

          Thank you sir!
Was curious when it was produced, just bought it for a guy.

Thinking of sanding it down to matt finished on the butt area... Hmm...

Hi there, these were probably more than ten years old, a local snooker saloon in singapore used to order direct from omin and all the cues came with these badges no matter what the model was or design was, i had 3 or 4 of such cues, there were also yellow and purple tab versions around , hope this helps.

I would leave as is if i were you..it looks like the butt is just painted black then very heavily varnished to hide any imperfections.

you could probably sand the cue down, the older omin's generally have quite nice ebony, worst case just some brownish grains, but are generally quite ok from what i remember of them, the yellowish one glows in the dark as well. the tabs does not determine what shaft they come with, the earlier batches were all green then later yellow after that purple, no idea why the saloon owner orderedd them that way also.

dunno how to post pics here if not i can post some old pics up, cheers!

Difficult to find used cue in singapore, as do not have a forum that we can look for it. Zzz
