I.D. This Cue Joint Please

Evening all

Can anyone positively identify this cue joint please? I'm told it is probably a Welsh Pool one, what I would really like to know is if there is an extension commercially available to fit. It's unusual for the extension to be female I guess?

Looks similar to a craftsman cues joint. BTW is that a James Butters cue by any chance?

It is a JB yes, looks like a lovely cue (going by spec and photo's) but needs to be functional.

Although I'm thinking a butt socket could sort the extension issue out anyway...
