  • what cue oil darkens the shaft the least?

............. as per the title really.

I like a pale looking cue and the linseed oil i use tends to darken the shaft.

does anyone know of a less darker solution?

I think Danish oil and Walnut oil are better than Linseed oil on this subject

and what do you find best :-) or the most natural looking?

i've looked into danish oil, lemon oil, tung oil, linseed oil. i'm going to experiment myself with an old cue but any clues would be gratefully received.

if you look at the colour of the oil will give a gd idea, lemon oil is very light coloured as is danish, tung oil is also very light if you can find a site with them all you might find a lighter one

danish oil adds virtually no colour
