  • Non Laquered cue butts

I know African ebony has very little grain but do any cue makers beside Parris make cues where you can see the actual wood on the butt?

So many cues these days are stained and laquered hiding a multitude of sins underneath. They look jet black as tho they've been painted on.

Do love a lac-butt, not the EU sanctioned water based crap but the old (not easy to find) tough solvent lacquer. When applied properly, burnished and buffed it really has a lovely feel and, adds something to the the play of the cue imo
