Dean is right and has all the meathods.
I tend to use the iron and damp cloth route.
But Dean forgot one of the best ones!
Throw it in the bonfire then you definitely have no dents lol.

Using a ring of plasticine as a dam to hold a liquid in a confined area is a common technique in a number of different applications. I would never have thought of it for a dent in wood but there is no reason why it shouldn't work. The idea is to get water to the damaged area and allow it to swell naturally. Then rub down to smooth.

Worst ding I ever got was when I raised my cue to vertical forgetting the overhead fan which almost made my 2 piece into a 3 piece.

Just look at the past few posts, guys, and ask if there really is any place here for such behaviour.
