Just taken delivery of a 3/4 Master Cue Heritage 'S'. The Butt does appear to be laquered and it looks really good quality. A little bit dissapointed that I cant see any trace of any grain which always leaves me with that niggly doubt as to if its been stained black and whats underneath.
The same on the 4 splices on the shaft - no visable sign of any grain.
Overall a lovely looking cue though and the Ash shafts' grain and finnish are very good. Looks like maybe a mix of oil and wax or polish on the shaft.
