How tall are you & how long is your cue

I'll never know how I would have cued if I had started out with a loinger cue (once I'd stopped growing of course), but I know that when I screw in my mini butt it adds on an extra few inches but feels far too long for me. I almost begin to start poking at shots rather than pushing through fluidly

Starting young and getting used to a standard length cue that you stick with if you grow taller than six foot is probably very common but doesn't apply to me as I started playing snooker when I was twenty seven and fully grown. I have long arms and a standard length cue just didn't fit me, I felt cramped with a bent bridge arm and a short backswing that didn't generate much power.
I'm much happier with my long cue but don't like it with my mini butt added, seems to upset the balance of the cue and I don't feel the full weight of the cue in my hand and that also makes me poke at shots.

5'11" and I use a 57", however, I just ordered a new cue that is 58"

5`11" and use a 59" ash cue also have a 58" maple cue.

I’m around 6’3” and now using a 57.5” cue at the moment.

Interesting to see all the different heights and cue lengths.

For me it shows that there isn't a standard as lots of these cues won;t be shoulder length. Obviously stance, bridge length and what spare cue hangs out the back of your grip hand make a difference to what is right for each player.

I wonder if it has ever stopped a good player cueing well?

IMO the standard length of 57-58” should be fine for almost all players. It depends more on where we hold the cue.
