          I think petmarmoset might be right there. It is hard to tell though. I have made a few bowls from fiddleback eucalyptus that looks very similar too. Defo fiddleback though.

            If it is Jarrah, it is a very hard wood. I actually have a kitchen made from Jarrah and its as hard as a rock!

              Thai cue more common to use Pyinma(Asian Satin), so I guess this is pyinma too.

                  Good call, cueinhand. You're probably correct. It's hard to make a call just from seeing a picture. Many woods look alike.

                    I also think he could be correct now. If I keep it I may have to accept its Pyinma (doesnt sound as sexy) If I sell it I will say its Fiddleback - the wood used by stradavarius on the back of his violins ha ha. Shud bump up the price.
